Klitou, CEO of the group, has been honored at the 10th Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE) Business Leader Awards in the category “Financial and Professional Services.”
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEBE) Business Leader Awards have been recognizing and celebrating Cypriot entrepreneurs for a decade, honoring their innovative strategies, best practices, and overall business excellence.
This event was held at Hilton Nicosia in the presence of President Nikos Christodoulides, government ministers, officials, political leaders, and the business community of Cyprus.
This award is yet another testament to Mr. Klitou’s professional experience, his leadership role within the company, and his significant contributions to the financial and professional services sector. With his professionalism and strategic outlook, Mr. Klitou has been leading Baker Tilly South East Europe to remarkable success both in Cyprus and abroad.
This recognition is especially prestigious as it comes in acknowledgment of a successful professional career spanning over 25 years, making Baker Tilly South East Europe the sole Cypriot audit firm represented in five countries: Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova.
Mr. Klitou is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
He was also a member of the Boards of Directors of the Cyprus Development Bank, the Central Bank of Cyprus, the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency and the Council of Economic Experts of the President of the Republic of Cyprus from 2003 to 2008.
Since 2015 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation and in 2014, he has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of The Republic of Romania in Cyprus. In 2022 he was awarded by the President of Romania with one of the country’s highest distinctions, the National Order for Faithful Service of the Rank of Knight.
